Job Summary
Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, Registered Nurses are accountable to provide quality nursing care to chemotherapy patients. Registered Nurses promote health, assess, plan, provide, coordinate and evaluate care and treatment with the ultimate goal of achieving the best possible patient outcomes. The position is 7.5-hour days Tuesday to Thursday 8am- 4pm weekly. Delivery of patient care and professional practice is consistent with the scope of practice of the Registered Nurse as defined by the College of Nurses of Ontario, and the policies of the Hospital.
Qualifications
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current BCLS
- In good standing with the College
- Knowledge of, and adherence to the Hospital’s Dress Code.
- Knowledge of, and adherence to the Hospital’s Code of Conduct.
- Basic computer skills
- Membership in RNAO is preferred.
- de Souza Chemotherapy Credentials or willingness to obtain
- Mandatory Covid-19 Vaccination
