Job Summary:

Under the direction and general supervision of the Director of Care, the COVID-19 Screener/Rapid Antigen Tester is responsible for screening all visitors of our Long-Term Care (LTC) unit and conducting and analyzing the results of COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Testing (swabs) for visitors.  This person is also responsible for communicating and enforcing visitor policies and procedures, educating visitors on hand hygiene and proper PPE usage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and direct visitors of LTC.
  • Conduct COVID-19 screening questionnaire of all persons entering and exiting the LTC unit.
  • Administers COVID-19 Rapid Antigen swab (training provided) to visitors, contractors and staff. Interprets and accurately records testing results.
  • Performs other clerical duties as they arise.

Qualification and Requirements:

  1. Training as a health care professional considered an asset.
  2. Knowledge of Infection Control considered an asset.
  3. Effective organization and time management skills.
  4. Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  5. Basic computer skills.
  6. Strong communication and people skills.
  7. Attention to detail.
