Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the Environmental Services Manager and the supervision of the Maintenance Engineer, the Maintenance II Worker is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, moving and repairing, building components, property, equipment and fixtures, within his/her trained abilities, throughout the hospital and all our offsite locations (RAAM Clinic, Family Health Team, and Community Counselling). Also included are maintenance of various types of equipment that provide heat, light, power and other utility services. This is achieved through safe working practices, proper planning and inspections, and adhering to governing codes in the maintenance and installation of equipment.
Requirements:
- Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma.
- Proficient computer skills for accessing information, updating preventive maintenance program and/or equipment troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of best practices relating to workplace and patient safety, governing codes and legislation, proper use of tools (including hand tools and power tools/energized), and proper planning and inspections.
- Related job experience.
- Valid class G motor vehicle license.
