Rate of Pay: $20.00 /hr

Job Description:

  1. Developing training programs based on the individual assessment of residents, inpatients, and outpatients of Atikokan Health and Community Services.
  2. Helping individuals set objectives and motivating them to reach those goals.
  3. Assist recreational coordinator in the execution of programs for extended care residents.
  4. Provide assistance to alternative levels of care for patients in the acute ward for mobility and other issues
  5. Facilitate the cardiac rehabilitation of their clients.
  6. Supporting the kinesiologist in running various programs such as our chronic disease program.
  7. Assisting in any other tasks and responsibilities as needed on a day-to-day basis.

Qualifications:

The applicant must be a recent graduate, with a Degree in Kinesiology or recognized equivalency.  The successful applicant will have excellent written and oral communication skills and will be able to work independently and as part of a team.  The position will provide first full-time employment in the candidate’s field of study.
