Job Summary:
Under the direction of the AFHT manager, the RAAM Clinic Registered Practical Nurse assists with the daily operations of the RAAM clinic Program. The incumbent must be able to work independently with a high degree of initiative, discretion, and tact, and be willing to work collaboratively and cooperatively building and fostering strong working relationships with key partners in a challenging environment. They provide best practice assessments, treatment, navigation and support to individuals and families with substance use and/or concurrent disorders at the rapid access addiction medication (RAAM) clinic.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an approved School of Nursing
- Current certificate of Registration in good standing with the College of Nursing of Ontario
- Current certification in BCLS and Non-violent crisis intervention
- Knowledge of, and adherence to the Hospital’s Code of Conduct
- Basic computer skills
- Successful completion of the Canadian Nurses’ Association specialty program in Psychiatric/mental Health Nursing is preferred.
- Current certification in buprenorphine training is preferred
- Current certification in Harm Reduction or Addictions is preferred
- Mandatory Covid-19 Vaccination
